Finger Food

Finger Food was a series of potluck gatherings bringing together queer people across South London in domestic spaces. Taking place between 2022 and 2025, the project moved from home to home.

Developed in response to the increasing cost and monotony of London’s supper club culture, Finger Food explored the potluck as a more accessible, reciprocal and collectively authored model for eating together. 

Drawing on research into archival lesbian potlucks and histories of queer domestic gathering, the project considered how food, hosting and shared responsibility can create alternative infrastructures for community.

Often gathered around seasonal and holiday moments, including Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween, Finger Food invited guests to arrive with something to share.
